New terminal building constructed at a cost of Rs 700 crore

Spread over an area of 41,000 sqm

Will have a peak hour handling capacity of 1,200 passengers

Equipped with modern facilities and amenities

Will have 18 check-in counters, 6 immigration counters, and 4 security counters

Also has a food court, retail shops, and a lounge area

Expected to boost tourism in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Will provide better connectivity to the region
